Days of our Lives spoilers reveal the soap going back to the past as Alison Sweeney returns as Sami Brady. Johnny now knows what his father did to his mother, but he wasn’t the only one in for a revelation.
Days of our Lives’ Johnny Has a Rude Awakening
Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) was stunned to learn that EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) sexually assaulted Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) many years ago and that is how Johnny came to be.
When Johnny confronted his father with this knowledge, EJ was stunned that this long-buried secret had come to light for his son, but even Daniel Feuerrigel didn’t know the extent of what his character did until he read the script.
“The fact that I didn’t really know too much about it and didn’t really research it [added to] the spontaneity of the scene, where EJ was thrown,” Feuerriegel told Soap Opera Digest. “He was on the back foot [a British expression for being caught off guard].
It made that a lot more natural and easier to play. I was just discovering everything when Carson [Boatman, Johnny] was yelling at me. I was like, ‘Oh. I did that, huh? Sh*t.’ I was finding out all of this in the moment.”
EJ started spiraling after Johnny insisted he never wanted to have anything to do with his father again, which then led EJ to piss off even more Salemites. He is now lingering in a coma and the Salem PD are on the hunt to find who shot him.
To Catch A Killer
What happens next is anyone’s guess, but we have a sneaking suspicion that the person who shot EJ was not any of the characters shown with a gun right before EJ took a bullet to the chest.
Where is Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle) anyway? We know EJ did something to her and we know she has no qualms hurting anyone she feels like hurting. Just ask poor Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
Was EJ done in by an old lady? Or did someone else sneak into Salem who might have a bone to pick with the dastardly DiMera? With DAYS finally heating up after months of Body and Soul nonsense, EJ’s shooter could be anyone from Salem’s past.
