The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is unhappy with the man with whom his newly realized daughter has bonded. Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) believes he did the right thing by having Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) released from prison and later pardoned.
Finn thinks Bill’s actions are reckless because they endanger people they should care about, including his granddaughter, Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras Mckinlay). Bill disagrees, believing his son, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), recently said he’s undoubtedly correct.
Meanwhile, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was unexpectedly drawn back into Liam’s world. She saved his life when finding Liam collapsed outside the entrance to Bill’s mansion.
Bill can’t win. He’s routinely criticized when digging into his Dollar Bill persona. Yet, he’s excoriated when he demonstrates compassion, as he’s done with Luna.
To be sure, everyone’s response to Bill helping Luna is understandable. There’s going to be a bad reaction to a woman killing two innocent people, intending to kill Steffy, and then getting off almost without a scratch.
Fans are right to wonder still if Luna engineered her beatings or provoked them. That wouldn’t be a logical stretch because they pulled at Bill’s heartstrings with whatever happened inside that prison.
Liam was having it out with his father in what felt like a concocted or at least a rushed verbal battle. That confrontation caused something to happen to Liam, and he collapsed as his dad left the house.
Bill would have seen Liam fall and hit his head if he’d stayed with his son for ten more seconds. But Liam managed to get up and walked outside. That sequence enabled Steffy to find and facilitate his rescue.
Viewers were pleased that one of this show’s longtime lead characters wasn’t being killed off. It’s also relieving that Liam isn’t in a coma, as that storyline would have been boring. In contrast, another memory loss plot or personality change could be intriguing based on what comes next.
Finn sees Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) as his mom. She is that in every sense of the term except the main one. Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) gave birth to Finn.
As is true of Bill, Sheila doesn’t get many breaks from people either, if any. She is never given credit for agreeing to Jack Finnegan’s (Ted King) plea that she surrender their son for adoption and go along with his false claim not to be Finn’s father.
Sheila has become Luna’s next champion and will push Finn to accept his daughter. Brown’s character won’t ever relent and will capitalize on any temporary distraction Steffy experiences, like being part of Liam’s recovery team. That concurrent storyline could be the edge Sheila needs to work on Finn, with Luna being the eventual beneficiary.
