Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) may be working up a hit list in Salem. First, EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) then maybe Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Kate Brady, (Lauren Koslow) and maybe even Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer)!
The criminal justice system in Salem is truly remarkable. Vivian was expected to serve a lengthy sentence, yet she has already managed to secure her release after only a few months and has returned to Salem to issue threats to Philip and Kate.
Additionally, she seems to be scheming for Xander’s murder-however, Xander may not be the only target on Vivian’s list this time.
It’s quite the coincidence that she reappears just a day after EJ was shot; Vivian is more than capable of either hiring someone to carry out a hit or taking the shot. She is clearly displeased with Philip sharing Titan with Xander, as she pointed out to him on Friday that the arrangement was never meant to give her just a fraction.
Although she may not have been aware of the corporate takeover plans, Philip’s erratic behavior and reluctance to provide her with any information could have pushed her to take control herself.
She has the option to follow through on her threat to reveal the letter if Philip and Kate continue to withhold information, but that would ultimately leave her empty-handed. She might be inclined to act out of spite, but only if she has an alternative strategy in mind-after all, Vivian does have a legitimate son: Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). She stays informed about current events, so it’s possible she came across Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) article in The Spectator detailing EJ’s (alleged) misconduct just as she was preparing for her release.
Realizing that everyone would be outraged with him at this moment could lead her to see it as the ideal opportunity to eliminate him and frame almost anyone else in town.
Ideally, Vivian would frame Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and it would pave the way for Stefan to assume control. Surely, he would be willing to forgive his mother for his abduction if she handed him the reins to the family business. Alternatively, there’s Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jiminez) —put her back behind bars, and Stefan could return to reclaim his family company without his ex-wife and one less sibling to contend with.
However, Philip and Xander intervened and seized control of DiMera, leaving them back at the starting line. The silver lining this time-iIf Philip refuses to share his stake or eliminate Xander, she could expose him, throw Titan into chaos, and potentially void the DiMera/Titan agreement.
She could bring Stefan back to step in while EJ is incapacitated and Kristen faces legal troubles-iIf the arrangement holds, Stefan might even aim for control of the entire merged company! And what if Philip and Kate, for some bizarre reason, eliminate Xander? Vivian would have effectively taken out two heirs, and with DiMera and Titan combined into one empire, her share of Philip’s portion would be significantly larger.
This presents a win-win scenario for Vivian—unless she gets caught, of course. However, the threat of consequences has never deterred her from committing murder in the past, and we doubt it will this time either!
