Young and the Restless’ Cast Pay Fun Tribute To Amelia Heinle’s 20 Years As Victoria Newman
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Amelia Heinle just celebrated a massive milestone: 20 years playing Victoria Newman. Heinle debuted in the coveted role on March 21, 2005, taking over from actress Heather Tom, who had well-established ‘Vicky’ as a pivotal player in Genoa City.
Despite stepping into the shoes of an accomplished actress and fan favorite, Heinle won over Y&R audiences right away. Recently, her colleagues rallied around her to pay tribute to Amelia and this incredible daytime drama anniversary.
Amelia Heinle Is Honored
The Y&R Insider posted a video tribute to Amelia Heinle and her version of Victoria Newman to celebrate their two decades on the soap.
It started out with a scene from Heinle’s debut – a visit from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) no less, and what followed was a cute collage of video clips from her Young and the Restless colleagues with congratulations wishes!
Pretty much every actor and actress on the show right now was profiled, including Victoria’s “immediate” family: her brother Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), her mother Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and The Moustache himself, Vic’s dad, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Mom & Dad Goals
In the video, Melody Thomas Scott tells Heinle, “Congratulations, my angel. I am so honored to be able to be your mama all these 20 years.” Thomas added, “It’s such a joy when I look at my script and see I’m going to be working with you because you’re just so special to me.”
Meanwhile, Braeden’s message to Heinle began with, “Sweet Amelia. You have been here for 20 years. Wow! Absolutely unimaginable.” He went on to say, “But you know something, you make coming to work a pleasure because you’re one of the sweetest people I know.
It’s a joy to work with you, we have a lot of laughs, you have a great sense of humor. I think you’re going to stay for a while, you know, maybe another 20 years.”
