Jill Dillard: Lower Instagram Engagement, But Fans Rally Now

Jill Dillard, formerly on Counting On with her husband Derick Dillard seems to have her Instagram engagement fluctuating wildly. It’s not clear why, as she used to be very popular. But, a post that she made this week saw TLC fans rallying around to support her.

The Mom Of Three Lost Some Fans?

Over the last five years, Jill’s Instagram grew nicely and she peaked at 1.8 Million views. However, it seems to have stalled there. At one stage, she was garnering in the region of 140 new followers per day. According to SPEAKRJ, new followers in 2022 dropped. But, she retained an engagement rate of 2.25%. 

The couple had left the TLC show in 2017, and for a while, they were hammered because people took offense when Derick bashed Jazz Jennings. But, she made a good recovery. Notably, though, her figures are all over the place. In the last 10 posts, she received between nine to over 800 comments. Nine comments a few years ago were almost unheard of. 

Fans Rally To Support Jill

Of the ten posts, one that she shared on March 19 got the most. So far, it got 17K likes and 819 comments. It showed a series of photos of the Counting On couple waiting to deliver her stillborn baby, Isla Marie. TLC fans loved that some of the photos showed her sister, Joy-Anna, and her mom, Michelle Duggar there to support them. 

One fan told Jill Dillard, “Glad you had your Momma and sister with you too. They I’m sure understood the loss you were going through.”

In her long caption, Jill said, in part:

On this morning one year ago, we were prepping for our daughter’s delivery after finding out just days before that she had went on to join Jesus in heaven…My mom drove us to the hospital where a couple of my sisters…joined us.”

Grateful that they were not alone, she thanked everyone involved who had “wrapped their arms and prayers” around them. And, the support continues to the day. “It’s a road,” she said, “nobody ever wants to walk.” 

Fans Are There When It Matters

Some people may not have added Jill Dillard to their list of follows because she stopped sharing the faces of their children. And, others might stay away because of her pro-life stance. But when she needs them, her fans flock to support her. Here are a few more comments taken from the discussion:
