General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Rena Sofer is set to welcome a new romantic partner on screen, and it promises to be a perfect pairing for soap opera fans! The characters Lois Cerullo and David Vickers, played by Tuc Watkins, tied the knot—count us fascinated!
They’re Not Playing Lois And David In This New Movie “Death On The Brandywine”
Rena Sofer, the star of General Hospital, has been dedicating her free time to a film project. Her co-star in this venture is none other than Tuc Watkins, known for his roles as David Vickers on One Life to Live and Pierce Dorman on GH.
The film, titled Death On the Brandywine, is a suspenseful mystery that revolves around the death of an aging politician found in his home.
While the authorities label it a suicide, amateur detective Professor Millie Park, played by Satomi Hoffmann, remains skeptical. As she delves deeper into the case, she uncovers a family rife with sibling rivalry and unbridled ambition.
Rena Is Excited About Her Role In The New Movie
Sofer expresses her excitement about portraying a character who is not as intellectually sharp as her usual roles. “I’ve never played a ditz before,” she shares with Soap Opera Digest. “It’s a refreshing change of pace;” Rena portrays Lauren Riley, while Tuc takes on the role of Sean Riley.
The cast features the iconic Walt Willey, known for his role as Jackson Montgomery on All My Children, as Daniel Riley, and Kate Burton, Ellis Grey on Grey’s Anatomy, as Ann Riley. This isn’t the first time Sofer and Watkins have shared the screen- Watkins appeared on GH in the late 1990s as the villainous Dr. Pierce Dorman.
Who Was The Villainous Dr. Pierce Dorman?
Dr. Pierce Dorman, Tuc Watkins’ GH character, was a name that instilled fear in the hearts of many residents of Port Charles, and he was considered a villain.
He was a man who garnered animosity from everyone he encountered, and for good reason. However, appearances often misled, as Dorman had a knack for ensnaring naive women in various schemes, all to further his own ambitions.
Dr. Dorman first appeared in 1994 as a prejudiced doctor at GH who refused to treat Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) for HIV, and later, he infamously had an affair with Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson).
He also allowed Damian Smith (Leigh McCloskey) to use his winter cabin, which Damian used to frame Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans) for murder and escape.
