Days Of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Billy Flynn, who has played Chad Dimera for that last decade, has announced that he is leaving the Peacock soap.

Flynn has taken a job in an unannounced role on CBS’ The Young And The Restless. What does Billy’s exit mean for Chad and Cat Greene’s (AnnaLynne McCord) budding romance?

Billy Flynn Is Ready For A Change

Billy will soon appear in his new role on The Young and The Restless. Lots of rumors are swirling about who Billy will play and what characters they will be working closely with.

Currently, it seems that the character could have a connection to Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) or Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Billy is excited to get into his new role. Bily told Variety,”I love acting, and I love stories, and I never imagined I would just tell one story for the rest of my life.

The fact that I’ve been here 10 years and it’s gone by in the blink of an eye is amazing to me. I think with this character [DiMera], I’ve done everything I can with it.

I’m looking forward to doing something new. I’m about to start a new journey and tell another story. It really is just that simple.”

Billy Flynn Will Appear On Both Soaps For A While

Fans will be seeing double for a while because Days tapes up to nine months in advance. Flynn will likely be on the show throughout most of 2026.

Now that Chad has admitted his feelings for Cat, what will Flynn’s departure do to the budding couple? Will Chad and Cat continue to explore their feelings?

Meanwhile on Y&R, will fans finally get to see who this new character is and how he is tied to everyone in Genoa City? Will Flynn’s character be shady much like Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), who seems to be working behind Damien’s back. Is there a connection between these to characters, or will the truth come out.

Will Chad Dimera Be Recast?

At this point, is seems useless to continue the romance with Cat if Chad is going to leave town. Since this romance seems to be going on full force, does that mean Chad will be recast? These two have too much chemistry not to pursue the relationship.

Cat’s little sister is determined to play match maker for these two. Will Chad and Cat leave town together?

Cat has a job working for Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). It doesn’t seem likely that she will want to leave her siblings now that she has been reunited with them. Fans surely do not want Cat to leave and take Chad with her. Will fans accept a Chad recast after ten years? Billy was not the first Chad, will he be the last?
