Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Inside Scoop-Cherie Jimenez Dishes On Gabi’s Revenge Plot

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal recent events have seen Gabi Hernandez  (Cherie Jimenez) on the hunt for justice to avenge her brother. Since then, actress Cherie Jimenez has talked about the situation; the actress also talked about a dangerous situation while filming on set.

Cherie Has Played Gabi Since 2024

Jimenez joined the show as Gabi in 2024; before that, she was in series like Nova Vita and Pretty Little Liars. She took over the role from Camila Banus, who played Gabi from 2010 to 2023; the character was first created by Gabriela Rodriguez in 2009.

Recently, Gabi has been seeking justice-she confronted EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) to get information about Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and to seek revenge for her brother.

This isn’t the first time Gabi has faced trouble; she was once arrested for murder. Jimenez recently talked to Soap Opera Digest about the new direction her character is taking.

Why Did Gabi  Go After EJ With A Gun?

To kick things off, Jimenez was asked about the reasons behind Gabi’s decision to confront the DiMera estate armed. The actress explained, “When Gabi discovered everything was a deception,  an impostor took Rafe’s place, and  EJ involved, it unleashed that classic ‘hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” This revelation ignites a fire within her, fueling her anger; the entire situation pushes her to the brink, driving her into a quest for revenge.” “Her arrival at his home with a gun is bound to create chaos. It will lead to a series of events that place Gabi in a fascinating position regarding the unfolding drama.”

Gabi Has Killed Before-Will She Be Arrested Again?

Gabi’s past actions have indeed led to murder. When Jimenez was questioned about the possibility of her character facing arrest again, she expressed her concerns. She said “Whenever I find myself in a scenario involving a kidnapping or a death, I can’t help but think, ‘Oh no. I really hope I don’t end up back in prison!’”

However, she also emphasized that EJ must face the consequences of his actions, as it would feel like everything is being ignored and life is returning to normal without accountability. Gabi is puzzled by the situation, especially since it hits close to home for her—Rafe is her brother-because of this, I never underestimate Gabi’s reactions.

Danger On Set

Handling a firearm can pose significant risks;  Jimenez emphasized, “The gun safety team was incredibly vigilant-whenever a gun is present on set. They ensure that everyone involved in the scene, regardless of whether they are holding it, is aware that the barrel is empty-in the end, JJ successfully saved Gabi just in time.

When asked about Gabi’s feelings in that moment, she remarked, “She’s taken by surprise because, at that instant when he enters, part of her was ready to pull the trigger.” “So, naturally, there’s a sense of relief when he intervenes. However, there’s also a lingering frustration, as she’s demanding answers and EJ isn’t providing the responses she seeks.”
