Beyond The Gates Spoilers: Jacob Risks His Life Exposing Malone As A Dirty Cop And His Affiliation With Joey
Beyond The Gates spoilers indicate that Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) is suspicious of his partner Marcel Malone (Darryl W. Handy), who has a stellar reputation but a very horrible attitude, especially towards Jacob. Jacob’s father, Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik) is the chief of police and he has had to intervene between the two of them.
Jacob recently told his father that he and Malone saw Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) pocket a large sum of money from a street thug, and that Malone did not do anything about it.
Elon told his son that he believed that Malone was letting a small issue go to catch bigger criminals, but Jacob is certain that Malone is up to no good.
Elon told Jacob that he needs to be patient with Malone. Later, Jacob’s suspicions were confirmed, unbeknownst to him, when Malone called Joey and warned him to stop taking cash payouts where anyone can see him.
Joey told Malone that it was his job to take care of that. This would indicate that they are working together.
Jacob Hawthorne Grows More Suspicious
Jacob grows more suspicious as he spends more time with his partner, Malone. In addition, he would also be able to account for times that Malone is missing, and might be with Joey.
Malone is most likely being paid off by Joey to look the other way, and Jacob is becoming privy to this notion.
Finally seeing Malone and Joey together would confirm Jacob’s suspicions for him to start investigating. He won’t be able to tell his father, Elon, at least not until he has proof.
Jacob Hawthorne Starts An Investigation And Joey Armstrong Catches On
Now that Jacob has seen Malone and Joey together, he would start investigating to try and find a link between them. He would interview a street thug that he has seen Joey with, and see if he can connect Malone to him.
He may need to find someone from Joey’s casino that could also connect the two. Once he does that, Jacob would have a case and be able to gather the evidence that he needs to nail them.
Meanwhile, Joey will catch on to what Malone’s partner is up to, and not be too happy. He would tell Malone to take care of it before Jacob can prove it, and both of them are exposed.
Marcel Malone Makes A Deadly Move Against Jacob Hawthorne
Knowing that Jacob is gathering evidence and close to the truth, Malone would have to act fast. He could arrange to make it look like Jacob is killed in the line of duty, and pay off one of the thugs that he is in cahoots with, to shoot Jacob.
He would make sure that Jacob takes the call to where the trouble is, and accompany him as his partner. Malone would make sure that Jacob gets caught in the crossfire, and be shot and go down.
Malone would call Joey and let him know that it is taken care of, but alas Jacob survived being shot and has been taken to Garland Memorial Hospital.
Joey Armstrong Arranges For Jacob Hawthorne To Die In The Hospital
Joey, who is now impatient, and also angry with Malone, for screwing up getting Jacob killed, would arrange for one of his men to kill Jacob in the hospital. At this point, Elon might start to put the pieces together himself about Malone and Joey and try to stop their plans before it’s too late.
A man working for Joey would disguise himself as an orderly and try to take Jacob out. Jacob, at this point, is unconscious. Can Elon save his son before it’s too late?
