The Young and the Restless’ Tracey Bregman Wants To See An Edgier Lauren Fenmore

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) star Tracey Bregman recently had an interesting interview with Woman’s World, where she talked in depth about her Genoa City character, Lauren Fenmore. Find out what she said about Lauren, and what she wants to see from her alter ego, below.

Tracey Bregman Feels Like Lauren Fenmore Is “Too Nice”

Lauren Fenmore has been a staple on the Y&R since she first entered the canvas in 1983. Over four decades later, Lauren significantly evolved over the years, becoming a character that many feel they can trust and turn to; however, this wasn’t always the case.

After all, there was that time when Lauren bullied Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and was a ‘mean girl’; however, both women have swept that old rivalry under the rug and are now friends. Lauren is a shadow of her older self, which is a good thing, but Bregman wishes her character could get a little edgier.

Bregman tells Women’s World that she feels as if Lauren has, “… swung too far into the nice realm. I’m every gal’s best friend, and hey, I’m always happy to be at work … but I wish we saw a little bit more of Lauren’s edge.”

Tracey Bregman Is Her Worst Enemy

Bregman also talks about being her worst critic. She stated, “Every single day, I’m critical of myself. Us girls, there’s a lot of pressure on us. Maybe there is more on me because I am being shot in HD. I don’t know who came up with that idea! And I really would like to have a conversation about the overhead lighting.”

With that said, the actress continues to look incredible, at the age of 61. She tells Women’s World that she does Pilates three times a week and goes horseback riding to stay in shape. In addition, she follows a ‘vegan-ish’ diet.
