The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Is Right About Billy And Sally Mismatch

The Young and The Restless: Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) found another woman she dislikes. She needed an enemy shift because Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) was cleared and won’t be jailed, as Phyllis hoped.

Phyllis looks terrible based on how far she was willing to smear Sharon. The colossal failure of what Stafford’s character believed was the comeuppance she’d long waited for is hard to swallow.

So, the shift to loathing and slamming Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has begun. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) invited this new drama into his business life through the job offers to Phyllis and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).

But Billy doesn’t anticipate that his love life will be targeted either.

Daniel Romalotti Called This One Right

Daniel knows his mother as well as anyone. So, he quickly spotted Phyllis’ jabs at Sally as code for renewed interest in Billy.

Phyllis sloughed off Daniel’s assertions, possibly not realizing what she was lurching into. As viewers saw, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was quickly proven right.

Nick told Phyllis that no one can ever be entirely sure of his agenda. That wintertime Chancellor Park scene was immediately followed by Billy making a clandestine call, where he told an unknown contact to do a deep dive on Chancellor since Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) took the helm.

Billy Abbott Wants Chancellor Back

Billy had big plans for Chancellor. He was finally beginning to realize the results of his work in righting the business. That was before Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) convinced Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) to sell Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) company back to him.

However, an alternative to the above-perceived reality also exists. Challenging what Billy thinks is fair based on his track record of misinterpreting life and his many missteps.

Many people were alienated by Billy’s tactics, including the woman Jill handpicked to serve as his counterpart, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). So, it’s fair to say that he hadn’t stabilized Chancellor but did the opposite.

Jill wouldn’t have done anything she didn’t want to do. So, Victor didn’t convince her of anything. She recognized Billy’s behavior pattern as having repeated and pulled the plug on him.

Sally Spectra Is Being Upfront

Sally broke from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) while Billy split from Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Sally and Billy were hurt by Adam and Chelsea’s betrayal, making this newfound link a rebound rather than a love connection.

Assuming that Sally and Billy are distracting themselves rather than falling in love also implies something more. Either person, or at least Billy, is vulnerable to further distractions, and Phyllis has a way of infiltrating the minds of the men she sets her sights on.

Billy has a way of impulsing to hurt those who care about him, with Sally at least being in that headspace.

I can’t stand Phyllis. She thinks that she is so much better for every man in Genoa City. And she isn’t. She likes playing mind games. or she’ll bad mouth someone’s family member.
