The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Ridge Doesn’t Buy What Brooke Is Selling

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) doesn’t turn Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) away. He listens when she pops by the Forrester mansion and then stands his ground.

Brooke betrayed Ridge’s trust when she live-streamed her acceptance of Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) offer to become Forrester Creation’s newest Chief Executive Officer.

That meant she agreed to replace Ridge and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who co-headed their family business with Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) approval.

Ridge can’t get past Brooke’s actions, believing she capitalized on the chaos Carter and her daughter created. Kaye’s character has already reconciled with Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).

Taylor Hayes Factor Looms Large

It’s possible that Brooke and Ridge would still be together if Taylor hadn’t returned to town shortly before Carter and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) exacted their scheme. That critical factor looms large.

Unlike in many past instances, Taylor wasn’t injecting herself into Ridge’s life or harboring open expectations of reconciliation. That approach existed because of her medical condition.

The cliff house healing session that Brooke witnessed was a foreshadowing of what was to come. Ridge and Taylor bonded in a profoundly emotional manner that went beyond anything they believed they’d experienced, and it set the soapy stage for what followed.

Brooke Logan Only Has Hope For The Future

Hope in this section header is not a reference to her daughter or the line Noelle’s character is again heading. Instead, it reflects the only morsel Brooke has left.

Brooke believes that she and Ridge share a love that no other woman, including Taylor, can ever touch. Yet, two points can be simultaneously true, and Lang’s character doesn’t want to accept that reality.

Ridge has never denied loving Brooke during this separation, as she sees it. He feels it’s a break, and he’s not rebounded to Taylor but rediscovered his love for her.

This gap in perception will harden the longer Brooke and Ridge aren’t together, which is weighing on her mind. She knows that Taylor’s influence over Ridge is legitimate and that Bridge might not be destined to revive anytime soon.

Ridge Forrester Mixing Personal And Business Issues

Many separations and their eight divorces have been based on what standard relationship turmoil boils down to: irreconcilable differences. But this specific split includes the rightly named steal of Ridge’s family business.

Brooke’s task is challenging, if not impossible until she convinces Carter to return power to the Forresters. But if that doesn’t happen before Ridge remarries Taylor, then there’s no guarantee that Brooke will realize her assumption.

Ridge does love Brooke. However, Steffy’s plan to split Carter and Hope using Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) could work before Brooke’s efforts succeed, assuming that they do. In that instance, Brooke wouldn’t become the hero and might be out of Ridge’s life and thrown out of FC.
