The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Poppy Lies As A Lifestyle – Finn Needs Steffy’s Help

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) loves his family. But being forced to realize that he has another child was never anticipated or deserved.

Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) has lied to herself and those she claims to love for her entire adult life. She believes truth is malleable and should be twisted to fit whatever feels good in the moment.

But making decisions about other people’s lives while denying them what is absolute, meaning the truth, is wrong. And as Finn said, if he knew about his daughter, she wouldn’t have become a murderer.

Poppy Nozawa Didn’t Know For Sure

In defense of Poppy, it is understandable that she feared what might happen to him, Luna, and herself if the truth was told approximately two decades ago. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) would likely have scorned Luna’s birth.

Yet, Poppy mixes what happened in the years that followed her unknown romantic connection with Finn and Luna’s paternity. She can’t know for sure what the long-term outcome would have been.

Yes, Li would have been shocked but so would Jack Finnegan (Ted King). However, they were family and would have supported their son and grandchild. It’s reasonable to believe that the stunner would have subsided and that Poppy and Finn’s indiscretion, which is what it was, would have been forgiven in the best interests of their newborn baby.

Taking Issue With John Finn Finnegan’s Stance

Finn’s belief that Luna wouldn’t have become a murderer hasn’t been well thought out. She has Sheila Carter Sharpe’s (Kimberlin Brown) blood in her, and that could be the sole reason why Yamada’s character is mentally unstable.

But Finn might have an unknown dark side as well. Fans witnessed his fury erupt when he came down on Poppy because she lied to him about Luna’s paternity and robbed him of her formative years.

However, the power of the moment blinds Finn from seeing that Poppy felt she couldn’t confide in anyone, including her sister, brother-in-law, or him. So, she genuinely felt that concealing Luna’s paternity was best for all involved.

Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s Love Matters

Hopefully, Finn won’t choose to follow Poppy’s lousy advice. Even if daytime devotees offer compassion based on Poppy’s mistaken judgment, they can’t say she’s offering Finn the correct advice today.

Poppy believes that Finn’s life and her life will be forever changed if he tells Steffy and Li about his confirmed paternity test results. But she’s discounting the uplifting influence Steffy has in Finn’s life.

Park’s character can’t see why it’s wrong for Finn to withhold this information from Steffy. That’s probably because she’s never experienced the type of love Finn and Steffy share. Luna’s father needs time to digest everything and face the future with his wife’s loving guidance.
