Has ‘Y&R’ Michelle Stafford Confirmed That Ian Ward Isn’t Holding Phyllis & Sharon Hostage?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that fans have been buzzing over the Tuesday, February 25 episode. During the show, it was revealed that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) had been kidnapped together.
Viewers can’t help but feel as if Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is behind this; however, has a recent social media post revealed he is not?
Michelle Stafford Shares Her Thoughts On The Storyline
Michelle Stafford uploaded some screenshots from Tuesday’s Y&R show on her Instagram Stories, recently. The pics were scenes between Phyllis and Sharon, who are being held captive by someone unknown in what appears to be an old psychiatric facility.
Tuesday’s show was dedicated to this mysterious arc, and fans loved the fact that these long-time rivals were finally landing on the same page and working together to escape their nightmare-ish situation.
In the IG Story post, Stafford writes, “OK so I have to admit I absolutely love storylines like this!”
The caption goes on to say, “And I absolutely love that two of my favorite characters are involved in it. I also have to admit that I hope they keep going for a while, but I would like to find out who has them.”
It’s beyond interesting that Stafford admits she doesn’t know who the captor is. This means either Y&R producers are keeping this from her and Case – whoever is at the helm of it all is filming secretly, or the actor/actress has not started shooting scenes yet.
The Ian Ward Factor
It’s easy to think that Ian is behind this. After all, everyone in Genoa City thinks he’s dead, when Y&R fans know he’s very much alive.
His name has been dropped a number of times lately, as characters bring home the point that he and Jordan (Colleen Zenk) are no longer threats because they are dead. Plus, Sharon and Phyllis were targeted during his reign of terror this last time around.
But there’s a good chance that the show will keep Ian in the shadows a bit longer to add to the suspense of his return and have someone new enter the villainous fold to create chaos in the little town. Is there a brand-new threat holding these women hostage or potentially another old character about to make a comeback? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
