General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Framed for Murder! Brennan’s Sinister Test for Josslyn Revealed?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that fans were shocked during the closing of the Monday, February 24 episode when Harrison Chase (Joshua Swickard) provided evidence to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), further implicating Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) murder.

Fans know Jason didn’t do it, so how did two strands of his hair pop up at the scene of the crime, considering the cabin had been fully swept by the WSB?

Brennan’s Test

GH viewers have long known that Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) has been testing the waters around Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) potential to become a WSB agent.

He left her “breadcrumbs” to see if she’d be able to figure out that Cyrus was Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) killer, but compiling evidence to solve cases is only one element to becoming a WSB agent. Could framing Jason for the murder be another test for Joss?

The Agency Comes First

To become a successful WSB agent, a recruit needs to understand that the agency always comes first. Cases are confidential, and if a loved one or family member gets involved, then loyalties with these individuals must be erased.

Not to say that agents can’t have friends or close relationships with relatives, but investigations cannot be compromised because of them.

Did Brennan purposely set Jason up for Cyrus’ murder to see what Joss would do? She promised she’d keep things hush-hush, but Jason is her Godfather and like an uncle to her.

Will she sit back and watch him get arrested for a crime she knows he didn’t commit? Will Brennan allow this to happen, or will he step in at the last moment (after the test is completed)?

Then again, maybe Brennan is doing this as a form of blackmail. After all, he’s been eyeing Jason as a recruit for the agency, too! Could this move kill two birds with one stone?
