Viewers don’t all share the same opinion. Some fans are opposed to Sharon and Nick’s reuniting.

Some may have liked the classic version of this couple but feel that a modern reboot would jeopardize history. But where are the scorekeepers who would render a judgment that all would agree to? Right.

This couple is great because they care about each other after three-plus decades. Sharon used Nick’s presence to will herself out of danger. Nick put his life on hold to do whatever was necessary to search for Sharon and comfort their children and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).

But most importantly, Case and Morrow are great actors. That, along with so many good stories, has secured them and their characters in the history of this genre.

Resounding, deep kudos to Case, in particular. She just delivered a months-long performance that easily ranks with the best of her career.

Case should submit her name for a Daytime Emmy nomination, and hopefully, she’ll win. However, this is a highly subjective statue selection process, with many other great actors competing yearly.

Regardless, Sharon’s resolution to her current crisis was phenomenal. Having Nick be the one who determined something was off with her medication proved crucial to reexamining Sharon’s guilt. He believed she was not guilty of killing Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) before Case’s character did, and that is another representation of the respect and love he has for her.

It has already been a very dramatic, frozen tundra-type winter, and we are only slightly more than a month into it. So, a lot can and will happen between now and the first soapy signs of spring in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) killed herself by drinking tea she believed was poisoned. Her deposed partner in countless crimes, Ian Ward (Ray Wise), is positioned to end his reign of terror as soon as this week.

Other topics will receive full attention when Ian meets his fate on this side of the earth or the other world. So, that will be the signal. Whether Sharon and Nick will jointly decide to try to be together again is worth watching.
