Claire is benefiting from Jordan’s recent breakup with Ian. Viewers saw her leave their seedy motel room and head to GC’s center city, where she entered Crimson Lights.

As soapy fate would have it, Claire was in the same setting with her for the second time in the space of a handful of episodes and soapy days. The moment Zenk’s character spoke despite her back being turned and her head disguised, Claire instantly recognized her loathed relative.

Cutting herself from Ian allowed Jordan to skip town and potentially elude capture indefinitely. So, swapping Ian out and Claire in makes sense from many angles.

Jordan has Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) shackled in the bowels of the Newman Ranch. She told Ian that’s leverage in case he attempts to turn her in. She’s claimed to have set Ian up for Sharon’s abduction.

It’s not a stretch to believe that Jordan will build Claire’s confidence and then take her to where Sharon is being kept. If so, Claire will be in danger of sharing that hole with her.

Alternatively, Jordan’s emotions could leave her vulnerable to Claire’s cunning. Two plausible options are to see Erin’s character either chain Jordan or alert the Newmans.

Claire’s ability to answer Jordan’s questions in Chancellor Park was spectacular. She had to improvise her claimed story and did so on the fly and when looking directly into Jordan’s eyes for more than half of their time together.

Jordan’s broken heart and loneliness overrode her leery nature. She’s missed Claire since her great-niece betrayed her trust and became a willing member of the Newman family.

As Claire heard, Jordan never stopped thinking of her. She sees Claire as her only lifeline and now believes their alliance was never fully broken.

However, Jordan chooses to think her bond with Claire was never broken. It was, and Claire is using everything Jordan taught her in another attempt to secure permanent justice for everyone she’s wronged.
