The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Brooke Goes Rogue – Ridge’s Insolence Is Too Much

The Bold and The Beautiful: Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang)

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) didn’t beg. She didn’t plead. Instead, she slapped Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) hard.

As it played out, Ridge’s histrionics riled Brooke to the point of her putting a hand on his left shoulder. Moments later, her open right palm met Ridge’s left facial cheek with a nicely included sound effect.

Kudos to the pacing of that scene and the twist. Ridge wasn’t the aggressor; Brooke was.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – It’s Wrong To Call Hope Logan Names

Brooke is one hundred percent right whenever she tells Ridge it is beneath him and wrong to call Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) names. He was goaded into doing so by his daughter, but that doesn’t justify his actions.

Hope was naturally flabbergasted when Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) used the misinterpreted design room incident to fire her and extinguish Hope for the Future.

Steffy had time to reverse her decision after learning that Hope and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) were together.

Noelle’s character repeatedly apologized to Steffy for going after John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). It was proven that she wasn’t throwing herself at him in the design room, making Hope the arguable target of Steffy’s workplace vindictiveness.

Ridge should have corrected Steffy because he was her father. Chiding Hope happened because he was mad at her for siding with Carter during the takeover. Kaye’s character should always maintain respect for Brooke’s daughter; when he doesn’t, Lang’s character feels a break in respect and trust.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Brooke Logan Was Wrong To Commit Assault

That’s a legalistic description of what Brooke did to Ridge. Just as he would have no right to slap her across the face, she also has no justification for doing so.

The Bold and The Beautiful: Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye)

Pushing Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) to the side and into the table in the foyer was wrong but likely not debatable as assault.

However, someone like Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) might be able to develop that scenario into something more if Ridge or Taylor presses him to do so. And develop means to excessively focus on one specific moment to drive home an intended point.

In all likelihood, Ridge will not press assault charges against Brooke. But if the scenario were reversed, there would be a contingent in this version of Los Angeles, California, who would loudly want Ridge punished.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Ridge Forrester Isn’t Thinking Straight

There’s another point that Brooke was right about. Taylor is Ridge’s second choice. He even said so himself when classifying the Taylor part of his life as a safety net, which hardly reinforces deep love.

Forrester Creations just endured a hostile takeover through totally deceptive means. Carter was wrong to do so, and Justin’s take that it wasn’t illegal seems suspect, but making that claim allows the storyline to move forward. So, okay.

Ridge is allowing himself to fall into the pattern trap of believing Brooke is wrong because she’s broken his heart before. He should not have rebounded to Taylor because that’s how she developed broken heart syndrome in the recent past.

Until Ridge’s mind clears, he will likely continue making irrational, self-centered decisions. Brooke is a human being and couldn’t deal with the pressure and gave that slap heard around the daytime world, and that was downright great soap.
