Sister Wives Fans Learn A New Tradition From Gwendlyn

Sister Wives fans love Gwendlyn Brown, especially as they got to know her a bit better when she ran her Patreon and YouTube accounts. And this week, they learned something new. Well, the tradition was news for a lot of TLC fans who never heard of it before.

Sister Wives Star Gwendlyn Brown Is Amusing

When TLC fans first started watching Gwen’s podcast, they were shocked to discover that she has an amazing sense of humor. Many of them wondered why TLC never showed the side of her personality. Unfortunately, the podcast ended in honor of her deceased half-brother, Garrison Brown. But, she still posts on social media.

While Sister Wives fans don’t see posts by Gwendlyn Brown every day when she does post they are interesting, informative, or amusing. This week, she got fans laughing and also a little bit mystified.

Sister Wives Fans Learn Grapes Under The Table Tradition

When Gwendlyn Brown shared her belated New Year post on Instagram this week, you might have wondered what on earth she was talking about. First, she shared a photo of herself with her sister, Aspyn who is married to Mitch Thompson. Remember, in season 13, they tied the knot on TLC.

The Sister Wives star captioned her Instagram post by saying:

i pinky promise i ate 12 grapes under a table for new year’s. and it was very crowded under the table and also my rat bastard brother in law mitchell tried to steal all the grapes and hog the good luck for himself. but don’t even worry i got involved. anyway here’s the only pic i took the whole night and also the only pic i’ve taken since new years but happy new year’s!
new year’s resolution pending. . .

Gwendlyn Brown’s Fans React

Sister Wives fans managed to figure out that eating 12 grapes under a table is an old tradition that might have originated in Spain, according to Newsweek. But, few of Gwen’s followers had ever heard of it. Here are some of their comments:

  • you eat them under the table on new years to ensure good luck. Allegedly.
  • Happy new Year! Grapes under a table is a new one to me.
  • I’ve just heard about this eating 12 grapes…on new years how do people know about this?!
  • Happy New Year I ate 12 grapes but I am 60 years old now as of today and I cannot get under the table.
