Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that while Kyle Abbott (Micheal Mealor) has a budding romance with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) this doesn’t mean he may not have lingering feelings for his ex-wife and longtime love, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

Fans sense that a love triangle is about to explode between these three parties, and a recent scene offers some clues that Summer may be out of Kyle’s love life, but she may not be gone for good.

Y&R viewers can see that Summer is jealous of the fling between Kyle and Claire. From her facial expressions at the Abbott Thanksgiving to her recent needling of the couple, even Kylaire talked about how their romance is clearly rubbing Summer the wrong way.

But, what about Kyle’s feelings for Summer? They’ve gone through some tremendous co-parenting struggles and have finally found common ground.

Recent scenes have shown the two meeting often to talk about how to tackle issues that Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) is facing, and they have finally hit the friends’ zone and seem to be on the same page.

Still, these two share a ton of history, and now that Summer is a single-pringle, will Kyle’s view of her and his feelings, change?

Y&R Spoilers: Summer Reveals She’s Single, Kyle Softens His Stance

Y&R spoilers note that Claire just handed in her resignation as Harrison’s nanny, and she wanted to be the one to break the news to the little boy about her decision. Still, Summer decided it was best that Harrison’s parents show a united front and tell him about Claire going to work for Chancellor, first.

Kyle and Summer bantered back and forth for quite a bit, as Kyle fiercely defended Claire’s right to tell Harrison she was no longer going to be his nanny.

With that said, he quickly backed off once Summer revealed she was no longer seeing Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). After Skyle told Harrison about his new nanny situation, Kyle met up with Claire and told her what went down.

While he did try to smooth things over with his new gal pal, as she was clearly disappointed, he also seemed to prop up Summer’s stance and reasoning behind why he relented to Summer’s request.

The pivotal scenes seemed to open the door wide open to a love triangle, and it’s not hard to see that as the holiday season hits, and Harrison, Kyle, and Summer spend family time together, Kyle may start to struggle with the idea of a Skyle reunion.
