Both characters are motivated to get the Newmans. Their warped views of reality are steeped in envy and jealousy. They also refused to believe that any past or current actions they’ve taken are anything other than justified.

Their maniacal natures are dangerous for their targets. However, as fans see, Jordan and Ian are the greatest threats to each other and, therefore, themselves.

Ian tells Jordan that his master plans have yet to play out, meaning more mayhem is ahead entirely. This storyline is too juicy to wrap up in the next handful of episodes.

A Christmas time climax or a New Year’s Eve payoff would be fitting for what has become one of the more fulfilling storylines in years. Reaching back to Ian and adding Jordan is a masterstroke.

They targeted Sharon and Heather, which means that Daniel is directly involved. If he becomes a problem, viewers can imagine how Phyllis would respond.

It’s also fair to wonder if attempting to protect Daniel might also lead to Sharon and Phyllis needing to help each other so they can catch the real killers. Whatever develops, a satisfying ending would make this arc one of the more memorable in many daytime years.
