Earlier this year, the beloved soap opera  faced the heartbreaking loss of actor Bill Hayes, who portrayed Doug Williams since 1970. His character remained a staple of the show until July 2024, six months following Hayes’ passing.

Recently, the show’s Instagram account posted a video teasing the upcoming Christmas episode, with a caption that read, “Next week: Celebrate love, laughter, and the timeless Horton tradition.

Additionally, the phrase “Christmas feels like home.” According to Michael Fairman TV, the family’s cherished ornaments were missing after the Horton house was destroyed, but they were ultimately found, allowing the cherished tradition to carry on in some way.

The website has revealed some intriguing spoilers for the upcoming episodes, offering fans a glimpse of what lies ahead. For the episode airing on Wednesday, December 25th, one spoiler states: “It’s Christmas Eve in Salem, where Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) confronts Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer). Meanwhile, Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) are caught up in the holiday celebrations, and Tate Black (Leo Howard) shares a special moment with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis).”
