General Hospital Spoilers: Lucas Considers Giving Brad Another Chance

General Hospital spoilers tease that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) just returned to Port Charles and he’s already been through quite a bit. He took a position as a member of the surgical staff at General Hospital after being away for several years following his divorce from Brad Cooper (Perry Shen).

Of course, Brad is also back on staff himself thanks to Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James). But Lucas made it perfectly clear that any communication between himself and Brad would have to remain professional only.

General Hospital Spoilers – Lucas Jones operated on his sister Sam McCall

Not long after coming back to General Hospital, Lucas learned that his half-sister, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) was a liver donor match for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havans).

Sam agreed to donate a portion of her liver but only if Lucas did the operation itself. Lucas was hesitant to perform surgery on his own sister but eventually agreed once Sam signed off on it. The surgery itself seemed to go well but then tragedy stuck.

GH Spoilers – Sam McCall died in recovery

Lucas was devastated when Sam died in recovery. He blamed himself since he was the surgeon who performed the surgery. Sam’s son, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), also blamed Lucas and screamed at him right before Sam’s funeral, causing Lucas to miss the service.

However, when the autopsy results came in, it proved that Sam did not die from a surgical error, so Lucas was off the hook. But that doesn’t mean he still doesn’t blame himself. Lucas may never be the same after such a traumatic situation.

General Hospital Spoilers – Brad Cooper will try to comfort Lucas Jones

Whether Lucas likes it or not, Brad may be the only one who can actually get through to him. Even though they are divorced, Brad can still talk to Lucas like no one else can.

He may be able to get through to Lucas. He’s been so busy blaming himself for what happened, he really hasn’t had the chance to mourn the death of his sister.

Perhaps Brad, in his own way, can make Lucas see that none of this was his fault. And then Lucas can finally grieve such a terrible lose. He could potentially even break down in Brad’s arms. That could lead Lucas to consider that maybe Brad deserves a second chance.
