General Hospital Spoilers: Has The Show Ruined Emma Drake, Making Her Into A Bratty Bad Girl?
General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal a totally different Emma Drake (Braedyn Bruner) than viewers are used to. They were expecting the Emma that grew up on the show, the sweet girl played by Brooklyn Rae Silzer, but this one acts like a bratty bad girl!
General Hospital Spoilers: Not The Same Emma-Not By A Long Shot!
As Emma returned to Port Charles, it became evident that she was no longer the girl we all adored. This new Emma appears to be a master manipulator, revealing some concerning behavioral traits.
In the episode that aired on Friday, December 27th, thank goodness for her grandmother, the astute Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who has already picked up on Emma’s tricks.
While Emma feigns innocence by claiming she’s just woken up and brought them both smoothies, Anna knows the truth—Emma didn’t get home until the early hours of the morning. Emma asserts she merely went for a walk to avoid worrying Anna, but it’s clear she spent the whole night out.
GH Spoilers: Busted!
When Anna suggests calling Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough), Emma claims she already did, but Anna catches her in another lie since she just called her.
Robin had no clue about Emma’s plan to transfer to PCU-Anna then points out that you can’t switch universities after being expelled from the first one.
After looking into it, Anna reveals that Emma hosted a huge party in her dorm that got out of control, displacing nearly 200 students due to damage from a sprinkler system.
Emma brushes it off, saying everything will be fine now that she’s at PCU; Anna wonders how Emma managed to keep her parents in the dark about the incident. Emma confesses she gave her number to the school and pretended to be her mom during their call and insists she’s done partying, has found an apartment, and will enroll in school.
General Hospital Spoilers: Emma’s Turned Into A Liar!
Anna shuts it down, stating that Emma will be living with her, much to Emma’s annoyance; Emma later arrives at “Bobbie’s” and talks with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
During their chat, Emma is quite rude; she mentions that since Berkeley and Stanford are nearby, she and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) saw each other throughout the year. Emma reminisces about the past when they both competed for Cam’s attention-to get under Joss’s skin, Emma reveals that she introduced Cam to his new girlfriend, Gretchen Ross (Indi Star).
It looks like this new version of Emma Drake is set to be a real troublemaker and a rival for Josslyn. Is Emma turning into a bad girl, or is there a reason for her behavior-or has the show ruined the character, like they did with Drew Cain/Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison)?
