Dick Van Dyke Is Out Of Harms Way

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Dick Van Dyke has made it out of harm’s way after being evacuated from the Malibu wildfire situation. Van Dyke, who is 98 years old, found himself in a scary situation when the Malibu wildfires continued to spread even closer to his home.

Days Of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Van Dyke updated fans on his Facebook account to let them know that he and his wife, Arlene Silver had been “safely evacuated. “

“Arlene and I have safely evacuated with our animals except for Bobo escaped as we were leaving,” Van Dyke posted. “We’re praying he’ll be ok and that our community in Serra Retreat will survive these terrible fires.” Fans quicky began offering prayers to the 98-year-old star.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Dick Van Dyke Want To Be Remembered

Van Dyke has one thing that he wants fans to remember him for. Van Dyke says after all these years, he wants to be remembered for Laughter. Of course, that isn’t going to be very hard since he has mostly been in comedies. Van Dyke just wants fans to know that he has done is best to bring on the laughter.

Fans posted their best wishes for Van Dyke and his family. “Prayers lifted for you and your family and friends. Prayers for emergency responders as well!” one fan commented. “My thoughts are with you and all those impacted. Glad you all are safe, hoping BoBo will be rescued,” another posted after learning Van Dyke’s cat escaped. “So glad you are all safe. Praying for you,” posted a third.

Recently, Van Dyke’s home was featured in Cold Play Video, “All My Love,” which celebrated Van Dyke’s decades long career in Hollywood. Van Dyke danced barefoot, sang, and shared photos of his family and career through the years. Van Dyke has even taken on a soap opera role this late in his career.

Van Dyke will turn 99 on Friday, December 13th, says he isn’t afraid to die. “I’m acutely aware that I could go any day now. But I don’t know why it doesn’t concern me. I’m not afraid of it,” Van Dyke said. “I have that feeling, totally against anything intellectual, that I’m going to be all right.”
