After Luna was convicted of murdering Tom Starr (Clint Howard) and Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers), RJ vanished without a trace. Luna confided in Steffy, referring to RJ as just a “boy,” while she declared Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) to be the best lover she had ever experienced.

To add salt in RJ’s wound, she admitted she was planning to spend the night with Zende that night, and the drunk on her mother’s pills was just a ruse.

Following Luna’s incarceration, RJ’s absence was felt, especially during the meeting regarding the dismissal of his sister, Hope Logan. RJ and Zende had been collaborating on the Hope For The Future project, but the discussion only touched on Zende’s future, leaving RJ’s situation unaddressed.

He hinted to Zende about wanting a fresh start, expressing a desire to step away from romance and redirect his energy toward new opportunities.
