The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor Is Persuasive – Jill Knows Good Business
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) saw the future and is making it happen.
He has long said that Chancellor would be his and that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) would head it, restoring the legacy of their great friend, Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper).
Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, happened in the famous Newman Enterprises Executive Suite.
She stood in the shadow of Victor’s rehung portrait, with the old boy still operating as though it were his early days in the 1980s.
Victor does not want to hurt Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and is persuading Jill to make a deal with him. He wants Jill not to rehire Lily but instead to go along with his urging that she return to her family business.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Citing Katherine Chancellor Is Necessary
One of the many significant elements of daytime drama involves the respect paid to departed characters and the actors who portrayed them.
Cooper was and will always be this soap opera’s leading actor, with her persona, Katherine, forever a part of Y&R’s lore.
Along with the above, there are regular references to the lady who was the Grande Dame of GC. Upon her death, in what does not seem like more than a decade ago but was, Katherine surprisingly willed Chancellor Industries to Victor.
Devoted viewers recall that Jill was outraged that Katherine left Victor the company instead of her. She and her longtime nemesis reached rapprochement during the later years of Katherine’s life.
Jill was flummoxed, but Victor eventually decided to sell Jill the company, believing that she deserved it. Katherine left Chancellor to Victor because he was the man she recruited to run it in 1980. He later founded Newman Enterprises after a successful run at CI.
So, Victor’s mention of Katherine wanting Lily to work for her father’s company, if Cooper’s character were still alive, impacted Jill.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Is Out
Assuming Jill sees the value in Victor’s proposal, she will sell Chancellor to Victor in reverse of the deal he offered her years ago. That means Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) days as the head of the struggling company are nearly over.
Jill is shrewd. So, she will surely see the value in accepting Victor’s offer for a company in which no one else has a similar interest.
This transaction feels like a near certainty, especially considering Jill’s faith in Billy dashed and her loyalty to Lily not worth more than Victor’s big bucks.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Sees Next Phase
Glissade is already in Victor’s hands. He used Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to take that away from Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).
The seemingly imminent acquisition of Chancellor will expand Victor’s empire further, with a question that remains outstanding. Will he use his corporate power to take Jabot?
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is not shying from the revival of his war with Victor. So, a looming showdown between the Moustache, as Jack calls him, is ahead.
