Jack notably didn’t offer Kyle the co-CEO slot. Instead, he left their productive talk where it was and allowed his son to leave the Abbott mansion. Giving Kyle more time and space is an emotionally strategic move that has the potential to reap positive rewards.
Kyle’s developing relationship with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is significant. She’s encouraged Kyle to see the bigger picture and give his parents slack. That’s happened, and he’s nearly reached the point where a return to Jabot would not be seen as an insult or an opportunity to cause damage.

Diane was on board with surrendering her co-CEO title. She was prepared to head to Glissade.
Victor’s gutting of the company appears to offer nothing but the company name to Diane. But Jack cryptically disagreed with his wife. His optimistic outlook is genuine as Smilin’ Jack has a family plan to make the most of the crumbs Victor left Diane.
Rebuilding Glissade is an option because of Jabot’s position in the fragrance world. Alternatively, Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) skills could be used with a power-share arrangement. That choice could be sticky because the ladies have rarely agreed on much.
However, Diane might be open to working with Jack’s sister for the company’s and their family’s good.

Jack warned Victor not to go after his family to settle a score. The Moustache sloughed off his nemesis’ threat and did precisely that.
Bergman’s character is composed. He’s not seeking a vendetta or attempting to go personal and public right now.
It feels like Jack will take what’s been given to them and seek a lasting, positive outcome aimed at the peace and prosperity of the Abbott family at Jabot.
Of course, Victor isn’t likely to stop attacking Jack or Diane. But the good news is that Kyle saw the daytime light and is no longer in Victor’s clutches.
