Frankly, Phyllis may even feel somewhat responsible because she helped convince Heather to come back to Genoa City at one time.

Phyllis Summers Clearly Needs Some Support

The Young And The Restless Spoilers indicate that while Phyllis is trying to be strong for Daniel and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), she is falling apart inside.

Phyllis recently asked Bill Abbott (Jason Thompson) to talk to her and she told him all about Heather’s death. At the time, Phyllis had no idea that Heather was murdered.

Billy quickly offered her a shoulder to cry on and even held her close. However, now that Chance is back on the police force, it seems that he will be working on Heather’s case.

Will Phyllis become closer to Chance as he works to solve this crime? could Chance and Phyllis end up betraying Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) as he tries to get to the bottom of this mystery?

Chance is dating Summer so it makes sense that he would want to be there for her mom. On top of that, Chance knows that Phyllis loved Heather too.

Chance wants to be there to make sure Phyllis has someone to lean on. However, things could easily cross the line between these two. Summer has been battling Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) for custody of their son, but they now have an agreement.

Unfortunately, Kyle is growing closer to Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), and that may cause Summer to get a bit jealous. Summer and Claire have had issues before.

Chance could certainly interpret this as jealousy and become very angry about it. Chance and Phyllis could end up comforting each other if he is that upset with Summer.

The writers played around with the idea of Phyllis and Chance together once before. However, nothing ever happened from that.
