Carter is a regular guy, unlike Thomas. Unlike Thomas’ persistent persona, Carter is also a nice guy, which could be that aspect of his personality that has limited his chances.

He wanted to give his heart to Quinn, who left Eric Forrester (John McCook) for him. But she inexplicably left town weeks after finally connecting with Carter, who deserves to meet and marry a woman he can spend the rest of his life with.

Hope’s love of her life was Liam. But he doesn’t hold that title now.

Noelle’s alter ego stepped out of character after agreeing to be connected to Thomas in what can not be termed a romantic bond. He loved her, but Hope’s interest in Thomas was purely physical.

Thomas’ multiple marriage offers were rejected, with the second one causing him to make a major life decision. He left Los Angeles, California, and took their son, Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri), with him.

Hope was stunned that Thomas returned with a fiance, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White), and that Douglas referred to her as mom. Paris was the woman Carter stood at the outdoor altar with before Quinn arrived by bicycle and stopped the nuptials.

So, with Hope’s head still spinning, she doesn’t want to rush into anything with Carter or Liam.

Liam’s talk with Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) was important. It reminded him that he and Hope had a great life together.

It appeared that his talk with Hope at Forrester Creations prior to Carter’s arrival was impactful. But Liam misinterpreted Hope’s appreciation for Liam’s apology as an initial signal that she’d be open to reconciliation.
