Carly was disgusted by the thought of it herself. These two hardly get along nowadays, and she’s thrilled to be free of Sonny’s moods, philandering, and brooding.
But they’re both committed to seeing this alibi through for the time being. What does that look like when they each have a clear interest in someone else?
Sonny is eager to see where things can go with Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue), and Carly is obviously falling for WSB Agent Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure).
Will they be able to shove their personal feelings to the side for a while until this case is resolved and the authorities are off their backs?

Carly has been through this more times than she’d like to count thanks to Sonny’s reckless behavior. Her loyalty keeps her tethered to the father of her child and wanting him to maintain his freedom for the sake of their daughter.
But that doesn’t mean she’s doing this only for him. He didn’t exactly give her a heads up when he asked for her cooperation with his alibi.
Would she have said no if she knew what she would really have to go through? Probably not, if we’re being honest. Still, her own freedom is on the line now that she’s made herself an accessory after the fact to Sonny’s potential murder charge.

It’s going to be hard for Carly to keep her interest in Sonny’s never-ending legal woes when she’s clearly falling fast for a federal agent. Jack’s Australian accent and quick-witted charm are far more appealing at this stage in her life.
Carly was truly ready to walk away from Sonny for good the last time they divorced. Now, forced to pretend she is falling in love with him all over again, how will that clash with the actual feelings she’s developing for Jack and the romance with him she doesn’t want to miss out on.

While Carly is busy trying to resist her own blossoming feelings for Jack, Natalia may be harder for Sonny to resist than he thought, too. These two exes seem to think they don’t have to keep up with their faux appearance in public, but Diane isn’t going to stand for that.
As they come under scrutiny, they may have to button up their flirtations with anyone but each other. Can Sonny control his impulse to pursue Natalia, and if not, will she keep his secret that his romantic relationship with Carly is anything but?
