General Hospital Spoilers: Can Marty Make Carly Look Guilty Enough for Sonny to Confess?
General Hospital spoilers gossip Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) wasn’t sure about his meeting with Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos), being that she’s an Assistant District Attorney.
But the concern of any conflict of interest quickly faded into the back of his mind when he learned from her that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) may be the ticket to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) going free. Of course.
Carly is only the means to an end — an end that throws Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) behind bars for the rest of his life for killing FBI Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington).
Anytime now, we can expect that Marty will find a clever way to put pressure on Carly to recant her statement to the police that gave Sonny cover for his whereabouts when Jagger was shot and killed. But how far will he have to go to be effective?
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Already Isn’t Thrilled
When Sonny asked Carly to cover for his whereabouts that night at the Quartermaine’s, the last thing she was thinking was that he just killed someone in cold blood outside on the dock of the boathouse.
Agreeing to his story, Carly also didn’t sign up for the implication that they were knocking boots on Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliott) bed.
Now, Carly is under pressure from Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) — and rightfully so — to keep Sonny and herself out of jail by further cozying up to him and pretending they’re back together. This is about to go too far.
GH Spoilers Spill Marty Pushes Back
So far, the authorities might believe Sonny is the most likely person to have killed Cates that night, but Alexis is giving them a run for their money having tossed a gun into the river and giving the impression that she may be covering for her daughter — which she is, just not for murder.
Marty probably isn’t going to get very far picking Carly’s story apart. He hasn’t been around to even know whether these two have been getting along or not.
He’s hardly the right guy to call them out. However, he could make it very uncomfortable for Carly to keep covering for her ex.
General Hospital Spoilers — Is Carly Guilty?
Right now, Carly runs the risk of being charged as an accessory after the fact if word gets out that she lied about hooking up with Sonny.
Covering for a probable murder suspect isn’t a good look, but neither is being a murderer. Carly could find herself the target of Marty’s plot to make her cave and backpedal on her alibi for Sonny if he makes her look guilty of killing Cates in the process.
