General Hospital Spoilers: Anna Loops Jason in on the Truth About Jack — But Will Carly Listen?

General Hospital spoilers hint Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) tried to warn Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) about WSB Agent Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure), but she’s the last person Carly is going to take dating advice from.

Nonetheless, showing any interest in her concerns would have painted a picture that could’ve given Anna more insight into how Carly is spending her free time. Indulging her concerns might have sent the message that Carly is actually interested in Jack, and she can’t confirm that without making her cover story — that she and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are getting back together — sound lofty at best.

So Carly didn’t listen to Anna, and she also hasn’t heeded Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) generalized warnings about getting involved with a federal agent like Jack. But will she once she learns the truth about his past from Jason via Anna?

General Hospital Spoilers — Anna Sounds the Alarm

It’s hard to discern whether Anna is actually wearing her heart on her sleeve and cares about what happens to Carly, or if she’s just doing Jason a favor — or merely finding an excuse to reach back out to him.

Regardless of her intentions, she got the message loud and clear that Carly wasn’t open to hearing any of the truth about Jack from her. She understands the nuance and the optics Carly needs to keep in place, so maybe she will assume telling Jason so he can lecture Carly about it will be more effective.

GH Spoilers Claim Jason Issues a Warning

Jason’s been there, done that. For whatever reason, this is yet another situation in which Carly has decided she is not going to heed Jason’s warnings. Jason thinks he knows the type of guy Jack is; Carly wants to find out for herself. Why? She’s attracted to him, obviously.

It may seem like a silly reason to possibly jeopardize your freedom and safety, but since when has she let that stop her from falling for a guy? If Jason learns enough damning information on Jack from Anna that he thinks it might move the needle with Carly, he’s likely to relay it. But Carly isn’t going to accept his newfound information without knowing where it came from.

General Hospital Spoilers — Carly is as Headstrong as Ever

Finding out that Anna divulged years of information on Jack to Jason is only going to make Carly question why. She won’t trust that Anna gives two hoots about her love life or her safety. She and Anna hardly operate with any kind of sisterhood in place.

So why would the police commissioner go out of her way to protect Carly — or was it not about her at all and only about showcasing herself in a certain light to Jason? Carly may start to put the pieces together of what Jason and Anna’s relationship has evolved into. She might care a lot more about that than she does what mistakes Jack has made.
