Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that the show has been teasing a Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) romance even before Chadam’s one-nighter in Baltimore was exposed.

Y&R spoilers remind fans that while Billy and Sally weren’t ever friends, or even in each other’s orbits, in many ways, Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) brought them together as they watched their partners, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) struggle with their son’s mental health condition.

Jason tells SOD that he believes Billy has gained some respect for Sally and has admired the way she supported Adam, not to mention the way she handles herself overall.

He adds that it’s been great working closer with Courtney Hope, and it’s “not an accident” that the actress scored a Daytime Emmy win this past June. He goes on to say, that Ms. Hope is funny, prepared, nice, and very kind.

Still, the question on every fan’s mind is now that Chadam’s cheating has been outed, could this trigger something between Sally and Billy?

Jason states that he doesn’t know what the soap is planning, and he tries not to get too far ahead of storylines as he’s got to keep his head in the game.

Still, he acknowledges that he “could see it” as Silly is beginning to enjoy each other’s company more. Thompson notes, “I think that having the time under tension is important for building relationships and I think that’s where they’re kind of starting from right now.”
