Young and the Restless Spoilers: Bryton James Reveals A Romantic Storyline Plot Twist That Never Came To Be

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that things in the Dabby romance are going better than expected. While their relationship started on a shaky note, as the friends cheated on their significant others to get where they are, it’s all smooth sailing with Devon Hamilton-Winters and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) now.

In fact, the super couple is currently planning for their November wedding!

Actor Bryton James recently sat down with Soaps.com to talk about Dabby and another romance in his past that was never fully explored.

Y&R Spoilers: Blast Romance From The Past

During his chat with Soaps.com, Bryton reveals that despite wanting to see Dabby be in it for the “long run” he had wished Y&R writers would have “fleshed out” the romance between Devon when he was with Roxanne (Tatyana Ali).

That’s a name from the past Y&R viewers haven’t heard in a while!

As a refresher, Roxanne and Devon had a cute romance in Genoa City for years, starting in and around 2007. He had a scandalous one-nighter with Tyra Hamilton (Eva Marcille), a woman whom he thought was his aunt, but turned not to be blood-related.

While Roxanne eventually forgave him for cheating on her, the two eventually burned out when he accused his long-time gal pal of wanting him only for his money after he inherited most of Katherin Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) estate when she passed away.

Y&R Spoilers: There Was A Lot More To Explore

While Roxanne exited in 2014, close to a decade ago, Bryton still fondly thinks of the character. He tells Soaps.com that he always believed that “a lot” was left on the table with that relationship. After all, they dated for six years!

With that being said, Genoa City is a revolving door, as characters come and go all the time. Bryton sums things up the best by saying, “I mean, it’s a soap, so there’s always potential of everything happening.”
