Will Amy Slaton Being Arrested Mean The End Of ‘1000-Lb Sisters’?

1000-Lb Sisters star Amy Slaton Halterman was arrested at a zoo in Tennessee this week, and TLC fans wonder if she will lose custody of her kids, Gage and Glenn. Additionally, they suspect that her charges of alleged possession and use of drugs might mean the end of the show. 

Amy Slaton Halterman Struggled

After the birth of Glenn, the TLC star really struggled with the realization that kids take a lot of work. It didn’t help that she got almost no help from her husband, Michael Halterman. So, they got a divorce. Michael does see the kids, and apparently, he lives with his mom. However, Amy mostly raises the children and fans saw in the last season of 1000-Lb Sisters that the mom of two struggled emotionally. 

Amy Slaton seemed so distraught on the TLC show, that some fans wondered if she battled with long-term postpartum depression. However, in the light of her recent arrest, 1000-Lb Sisters fans now wonder if her drug use was interfering in her thought process. They also wonder if she is found guilty if she will cause the cancellation of the show. And, if the kids will be taken away from her. 

1000-Lb Sisters Star Will End The TLC Show?

On YouTube,  Tuff Topic did a video about the arrest and it seemed to be non-opinionated with good context and facts. TLC fans appreciated that it gave them a chance to look at the big picture. If you don’t know, Tammy’s sister was involved with the police after a camel bit someone. The police smelled an odor in the car and the person she was with was arrested with her. Plus, they tacked on charges of alleged child endangerment. 

In the comments section of the video, a number of TLC fans commented on the possibility that the 1000-Lb Sisters show might be canceled. Meanwhile, others wondered if the children would be taken away from Amy Slaton. Here are some of their thoughts:

• TLC will have to look at taking the show off the air. When past TLC cast members have had legal troubles, they get cut loose.
• Maybe drug use explains some of her erratic behavior last season.
• Neither Amy or her ex husband are capable of caring for those kids…

In the comments section, not many people care if Amy never comes back to the show. After all, these days they are there for Tammy Slaton’s inspiring weight loss journey. As for the kids, some people feel that Chris Combs might take them. However, in all likelihood, if they are placed somewhere, it might be with their dad who already has custodial rights.
