The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is imploding more quickly than even Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) thought possible.
His downward trajectory could have what is now called Abbott-Chancellor in the Moustache’s hands within weeks.
Billy believes he is Victor’s equal, which makes Braeden’s character chuckle. Many audience members likely laughed as well. However, those who care about Billy are also concerned because he appears destined to crash hard.
Victor wants that to happen and predicts Billy’s self-sabotage will lead to an easy victory. That assumption appears to have great momentum.

Billy has called himself a loser many times. Considering the terrible tragedy he and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) suffered years ago, their rebound is admirable.
However, Billy’s business efforts could be more active. Victor’s mention of him gambling away Jabot’s boat reminded devoted viewers of one of the more hilarious references in the history of the character Thompson plays.
Losing Jaboat signaled the end of Billy’s reign at Jabot. Victor’s reference to that incident probably signals the coming end of a short run at AC.

Firing Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) was foolish. She ran that half of what was Chancellor Winters, and Billy could not afford to be without her.
The scene where he took multiple calls while with Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) at Society was telling. Billy can’t handle his job and Lily’s, yet he has already dismissed that reality.
Lily’s meeting with Victor intends to let him know she wants to help sink Billy. Yes, that was another Jaboat reference.
Victor is fond of Lily because he’s known her since birth. Plus, he sees Lily as having inherited Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) business mind and knows he mentored her. That happened in his later years when Neil founded Hamilton-Winters.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman’s Next Steps
A schemer works from many angles. That would be Billy’s view of Victor and, recently, Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic).
Victor’s next steps involve picking up the pieces of whatever is left of AC as Billy steers his boat off course and using Glissade to attack Jabot. It will be interesting to see if Billy is asked to return to Jabot, assuming he does lose his company to Victor.
Also, it is reasonable to assume that Victor wants to take down Jabot rather than purely rival it. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is the next intended target. Whether Victor can seize Jabot is questionable.
However, a similar storyline played out decades ago when John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) was alive. So, soapy history may repeat.
