He intends to make Abbott Chancellor and is not afraid of the Moustache. Phyllis doesn’t fear Victor either. Her recent direct conversation with him regarding Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) reinforced that stance.

Billy and Phyllis are a good team in the short term. Whether they can survive each other beyond that will be seen.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is fond of Billy. The children they share override whatever bitterness exists due to past betrayals and breakups.

Like Billy, she knows what Victor is all about. Knowing her father far better than Billy, Victoria believed she developed a compromise that could be a win-win.

But Billy rejected her offer to buy out Abbott-Chancellor and use that big payoff to create a new company. Of course, Victor didn’t endorse Victoria’s idea. So, there’s no way to know if it would have been realized if Billy was or will be interested.

The way Victor treats Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) is abhorrent. But that connected storyline reminds viewers that no man is good enough for his firstborn.

Victoria offered an intriguing insight when telling Cole that she believes he’s fond of Victor. Cole knows that Victor wants to protect his daughter.

Having miraculously regained Claire, Cole is finally living fatherhood. With that comes paternal protection, which is what Victor’s attitude toward Cole represents.

But Billy is a different cat. More than anyone, he is seen as the one man who broke Victoria’s heart on multiple occasions. So, Victor will go after Billy, Phyllis, and Abbott Chancellor until he proves his latest point.
