Mark has lead everyone to believe that his parents died in a car accident and he got guardianship of his younger siblings.

Fans now know that although the father could actually be deceased, Clyde is using their mother to control what Mark and Marin do. Clyde has ordered Marin to marry Chad because he wants the Dimera fortune.
