Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) would be an ideal character to weave into this narrative, given his past connection with Sharon. Fans of Y&R are aware that Adam was instrumental in supporting Sharon during her battle with bipolar disorder.
In turn, Sharon helped Adam confront his traumatic memories, particularly killing AJ Montalvo (Marcus DeAnda) when Adam was just a child, around the same age as Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) now.
In a moment of desperation to protect his blind mother, Hope Adams (Signy Coleman), Adam attacked AJ, resulting in a tragic fatal injury. This shared history could enable Adam to empathize with Sharon’s perspective, especially if he picks up on the right hints and manages to draw her story out.
Adam might contend that Sharon was not in her right mind due to her missing medication and argue that Heather’s deadly strike was unintentional. He has always seen Sharon as one of the most compassionate people he knows.
There’s no way Adam could label Sharon as a monster, especially if she shares her experience of the blackout and the “Cameron Kirsten” (Linden Ashby) hallucinations that have plagued her thoughts.
Moreover, Adam has committed some pretty terrible acts himself, such as tampering with Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) medication or almost causing an explosion at the Newman Tower.
If Adam learns that Sharon disposed of Heather’s body, it’s likely he would choose to help her cover it up rather than betray her.
Adam doesn’t want Sharon to end up in prison so he might help her, but force Sharon to keep the doctor’s appointments she has been avoiding and take the necessary medication.
Adam knows he can’t let Sharon continue to act recklessly, but he may try to support her through this mental health crisis and keep her involvement in Heather’s tragic situation hidden.
There’s a chance Sharon is innocent since viewers didn’t witness what happened during her blackout, but she believes she is at fault.
Regardless of what really occurred with Heather, things will turn sour for Sharon if the police start investigating her-will Adam hear about Sharon’s shocking situation and come to her aid? Will he uncover the whole disturbing truth and promise to stay silent as long as Sharon truly seeks help?
