This time, Adam lied to Sally about what happened with Chelsea. Sally also feels that Adam is lying to himself. Her instincts appear to be proving out based on his somewhat surprising admission to Chelsea about their continued connection.

So, it’s not that Adam is getting over Sally as much as he’s been forced to move on. All who know him realize that he needs a woman in his life to play off of. No one has truly stabilized or neutralized him, which evokes the like father, like son cliché.

Chelsea was in no mood to hear Adam broach the subject of them. Togetherness with Adam resulted in tremendous heartache for her and, more importantly, upset for Connor.

The welfare of their son will undoubtedly be key in any decision Chelsea may make about his father. Adam can be sweet and loving, but then he’ll go way off the rails, which creates havoc for those who care about him.

Before Baltimore, the possibility of Adam and Chelsea being together was remote. Now, it’s more likely than not.

Connor’s influence will factor into both of his parents’ considerations. He’s right to believe they have gotten closer. All Adam needs is for Chelsea to agree with him and his son.
