Princess Eugenie Makes Splash at K-pop Concert After King Charles Honors Blackpink!

We didn’t even know the Princess was into k-pop! Apparently, Princess Eugenie showed up in Korea on Monday night at a concert featuring G-dragon. The Princess, 34, the daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, attended the event which was part of the Chanel Culture Fun Frieze Seoul, 2024, at the Leeum Museum of Art.

Like all young millennials she posted pictures of her attending said event on her Instagram, dressed to the nines by London-based Peter Pilotto, she sported a simple look with a warm-toned, smokey eye to go with her designer, sleeveless, Gradient Midi dress. There was even footage of the Princess filming the performance on her iPhone, furthering her connection with the art world.

Royal News: Mum’s the word.

It seems that the rest of her trip is shrouded in mystery though, no word on whether she was accompanied by her husband, Jack Brooksbank or whether or not their two young sons, August and Ernest got to attend with their Mom or not. (Though, if they had been present, certainly it would have shown up on someone’s Instagram feed by now.) So it looks like she may have attended this event in professional capacity only.

Princess Eugenie News: If it ain’t broke…

This isn’t the only time she has worn the dress by Peter Pilotto, it looks like she also wore the dress at an event for back in 2019, namely the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award presentation at Buckingham Palace. Hey, we love a good favorite, right? It looks like Princess Eugenie was comfortable enough to wear one of her favorite pieces to a fun event and you can’t get much better than that.

Royal News: K-Pop is big amongst the British Royals!

It’s not just a Eugenie, or even a millenial thing though! Apparently in November of 2023, King Charles himself, boomer that he is, awarded honorary MBE’s to the Korean band Blackpink during a state visit by the president of South Korea.

It really drives home the fact that there is a cultural bridge being crossed between British Royalty and Korean Pop culture, which can only be a good thing.

This reflects the growing popularity of K-pop music and the efforts of the British Royal Family to engage with diverse international audiences.

Where will this possibly lead? We don’t know but we have high hopes for where things seem to be headed. Be sure to catch up on everything happening with the Royals right now. Check back here often for updates on the British Royal Family and other news! Stay tuned!!!
