General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Helps Sonny Clean Up His Mess — and Incriminates Herself in the Process
General Hospital spoilers tease Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was quick to jump on her ex-husband’s team and provide an alibi for him without asking a million questions.
Who, what, why, when, where, and how would’ve been a bit too much for what Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had going on in the minutes following him murdering FBI Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington).
It was a bold move coming from Sonny to instruct his ex-wife to cover for him without giving her the low-down on why she was helping him.
Now, she may be on the hook for covering for him, and it’s unlikely that the authorities will believe her when she claims she didn’t know and lied for Sonny rather blindly.
General Hospital Spoilers — It Was Michael’s Idea
We can’t forget that this was Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) idea in the first place. As soon as he stumbled upon his father pointing a gun at Cates as he bled out, Michael told him he didn’t want to hear it. At first, it seemed like Michael was angry with his father and lacking patience for the trouble he routinely gets himself into.
Instead, he lept into action, encouraging his dad to get out of dodge and go find his mom so she could give him a cover story. Maybe this apple didn’t fall as far from the tree as he likes to behave sometimes.
GH Spoilers Leak Anna Won’t Back Down
Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) isn’t going to take this case lightly. While she may have had her own personal feelings about Cates, she won’t let this go unpunished on her watch.
After all, he was a federal agent and he was killed on her watch in her territory. Her initial hunch might be that Sonny had something to do with this — especially since he was at the Q mansion of all places at the time — but she’ll have a hard time proving it. If she has to press Carly to get to the truth about Sonny, she will.
General Hospital Spoilers — Jason Can’t Save Her Now
Jason might normally jump in to spare Carly any of the pain of being involved in Sonny’s criminal activities, but he won’t be able to this time around.
As luck would have it, at the same time that Carly and Sonny were at the Q mansion during which Cates was killed, Jason was recorded calling 9-1-1 twice from miles away closer to Pine Valley.
He’s not going to be able to take any heat off of Carly or Sonny in this battle — and he may be in for one of his own. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this shakes out.
