Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate fans should always expect the unexpected in the land of Genoa City. Billy Abbott recently fired Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) from Abbott-Chancellor, and it seems as if he’s decided to run the company on his own, from here on out.
Having said that, Jason Thompson recently interviewed with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) and dropped a major hint that Billy won’t end up running the company on his own. In fact, he teased a plot twist on the horizon that had to do with the “leadership” team at Chancellor, and the fact that, “There’s someone else who steps up and wants to do it with him.”
Could this create an ugly domino effect when it comes to the Summance relationship?
Y&R spoilers reveal that if anyone could fill Lily’s shoes and get approval from the “real” head honcho – Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) – it’s Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). He’s a newbie in the corporate world, but that doesn’t mean anything in the land of soaps.
As far as storylines are concerned, he’s learned the ins and outs very quickly and with Billy by his side, he could certainly handle the workload and decision-making as Abbott-Chancellor’s co-CEO.
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will be one proud gal pal until she realizes that a past favor could jeopardize both her family and romantic relationships.
Summer recently turned to her grandpa, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for a favor. She asked him for some assistance in her custody battle with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). The Moustache instantly called Kyle into his office and made it clear that he needed to clear things up with Summer where Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) was concerned.
When Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) caught wind of what Summer had done, she immediately grew worried. After all, The Moustache never does anything for anyone without wanting something in return.
Summer fluffed her mom off, after all, Summer knows Victor may be like this, but not with his own granddaughter, right? Still, Red warned Victor to keep her daughter out of any of his crazy schemes this week, because of his recent ‘favor’.
Was Phyllis’s concern foreshadowing a future storyline?
Of course, Victor’s latest plan is to acquire Chancellor and snag it from under Billy-boy’s feet. If Chance becomes the new co-CEO, Victor may call in a favor from Summer to do a little Intel. He won’t come out and say it’s payback for the favor that she requested; however, Summer may feel pressured by Victor’s request, depending on his tone.
But is she willing to ruin her romance to save grace with her grandfather?
