Unlike Adam, Chelsea intended to tell Billy everything. She hoped that doing so would allow forgiveness and healing to happen.
Egan has a different history with Billy than Grossman’s with Sally. Chelsea targeted Billy and had his child because Victor paid her to do so. Her attempts to maintain trust in the current relationship were unexpectedly changed by what happened with Adam in Baltimore, Maryland.

Whether this couple can survive is unknowable. It was one of the show’s feel-good stories. While drama is the heart of every soap, not all dramas need to be dark or end badly.

Sally can’t decide her future after what just happened. Like Billy, she’ll need time to process this jarring news.

Blaming Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is a cop-out, just like blaming Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) OCD is an excuse. Adam and Chelsea made a mistake and have now admitted it.
Chelsea had the guts to admit what happened. Adam did not, and as a result, he may lose the other woman he cares about.
