However, this feels like a storyline push, with Finn not finding Steffy. The tease is her rescue. But more plot can be played. So, why wrap this sooner than needed?

As Luna told Steffy, she rigged the first test to make it appear like she was Bill’s daughter. She had the positive result in her hands and switched that with the test Li administered.
It’s hard to know what’s real. Did Luna confirm that she was Tom Starr’s (Clint Howard) daughter and then kill him because of it?
She also killed Paul Hollis Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) when he discovered Tom’s backpack and the letters claiming paternity of Luna. So, no matter what Luna claims or believes, this issue remains unresolved until a neutral party can administer a definitive test.

Also, Luna’s exposure, through force or another accidental slip, like when Steffy saw her kissing Bill, is also coming.
