GH’s Kate Mansi Gets By With A Little Help From Her Friends
Mansi recently interviewed with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about filming all those scenes. She later met up with Y&R star, Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) and the two ladies went for a workout, and caught up on things, as well as their respective character’s storylines.
Mansi revealed Kristina’s horrible accident and baby loss, with Kate telling Hope, “Oh, it was this whole thing, I fell out of a window, and then I fell into the pool.”
With Courtney’s character, Sally Spectra, losing a baby close to the end of her pregnancy about a year ago, the two women commiserated about how, “… you yearn for those kinds of heavy, gritty storylines, and then, when you’re in it, you’re like, ‘Oh, God! I can’t wait to do something light!’”
GH’s Kate Mansi & Y&R’s Courtney Hope – Storyline Balance
As Mansi and Hope continued to chat, both agreed that the darker scenes versus light and easy ones were like a seesaw; as actors want to go through those heavy storylines, but when you are in them, you want to be on the opposite side of things (and vice versa).
The silver lining in this all is that the actresses have each other to lean on when they (and their characters) are going through hard times.
Kate Mansi has done an amazing job with Kristina’s current storyline … do you agree or disagree? Share your thoughts in the comment section! Make sure to watch GH on ABC (and the Y&R on CBS) daily to catch all the drama and visit CBL regularly for the most up-to-date soap opera spoilers and news.
