General Hospital spoilers indicate that Ava Jerome (Maura West) is many things, but loyal isn’t one of them. Look at the way she treated Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
While they started off as mortal enemies, Ava and Nina had a real friendship develop over the years. But Ava threw it all away once she decided she wanted to be the only person in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Bernard) inner circle.
She made it so that Nina and Sonny stood no chance of reconciling. Not that it did her any good in the long run.
General Hospital Spoilers – John Cates is blinded by Ava Jerome
FBI Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington) and Ava currently have a common goal. They both have targeted Sonny for their own reasons. Cates hates Sonny for events that happened decades ago, including the corruption of Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne).
Cates loved Karen and he had a front row seat while Sonny enabled Karen’s drug use and encouraged her to become a stripper. Ava, for her part, just wants to make sure she can get sole custody of Avery Corinthos (Ava & Grace Scarola) away from Sonny.
GH Spoilers – Ava Jerome is in a lot of trouble!
Right now, Ava is in a lot of trouble. She’s in jail for manslaughter after lying to police about what happened between her and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).
Although Kristina’s fall from Ava’s window was a freak accident, Ava lied that she never laid a hand on Kristina. Later, photographic evidence proved otherwise.
Ava will also likely be blamed for replacing Sonny’s bi-polar medication with placebos. While she certainly had a role in the med swap, it was actually originated by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). But Ava doesn’t know that.
General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Jerome wouldn’t think twice about betraying John Cates
Ava thinks the only thing keeping her alive right now is information. While she doesn’t know who originally authorized the med sway, she could easily lie and say it was John.
And since John helped make Sonny’s pharmacist disappear, he might look very suspicious. Ava is that one took over Valentin’s plan and made the pharmacist give Sonny full placebos instead of the quarter strength medication Valentin originally ordered.
Either Ava could easily say that it was John all along, and with the pharmacist out of the picture, there’s no one to prove it one way or another.
