Ryan Carnes

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that the last time fans saw Lucas Jones was in January of this year when he returned to town for his mother’s memorial service. Everyone in Port Charles (and beyond) gathered to say goodbye to

Bobbie Spencer, played by the late and great Jacklyn Zeman. Now the character’s portrayer, Ryan Carnes, is making a splashing return of his own to a screen near you.

General Hospital Alum Ryan Carnes’s New Film Released On Passionflix

For fans that follow Carnes on social media, the actor has been sharing updates on his new flick. He stars in the film, The Air He Breathes, a “haunting” love story based on the best-selling book by Brittainy Cherry. The movie is set to debut on Passionflix (a streaming service that transforms popular romance novels into feature films), on Thursday, August 22.

Carnes recently told Soaps In Depth that the movie is a “… good, old-fashioned heart-wrenching love story with lots of twists and turns and plenty of drama.”

He adds, “I don’t want to give too much away, but I’ll say it has a satisfying ending.”

Ryan Carnes

Carne stars in the film playing Tristian and co-star Kelcie Stranahan plays Elizabeth. Fans follow the two on an emotional journey watching both characters find healing and comfort in each other after both have experienced devastating losses.

As the two work hard to navigate through past grief and trauma, Elizabeth and Tristan have an epiphany about the power of love and how it can lead to second chances.

Carnes’ character in particular is dark and misunderstood, consumed by the passing of both his son and wife. Carnes notes to Soaps In Depth that Tristan, “… just wants the world to leave him alone and let him drift off into anonymity and live a quiet life of grief.”

The actor also states how grateful he is to Passionflix for wanting to tell this story, to author Brittainy for writing the story, and to Rachel Helson for being a “wonderful” director. Carnes reveals, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to have been a part of it.”
