Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Xander Cook At The Top, Will Justin and Alex Challenge Him?

Days of Our Lives: Xander Cook (Paul Telfer

Days Of Our Lives spoilers reveal…Should we call him by his birth name, Alexander Kiriakis? Looks like Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) has it made in the shade, in a classic Victor Kiriakis (Jon Aniston) upset, it was revealed in his will that Xander was the long lost son that he was most proud of, at least according to Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) but then, from what could be gathered from

Theresa’s past, one wonders how accurate her statements truly were considering she had what appears to be quite the substance abuse problem back in the day. So we’re those warm fuzzy memories of Victor real, or was it simply the beer goggles talking?

Too little, too late, huh Dad?

For those of us vintage DOOL fans out there, we can all safely say that we never once heard Victor utter Xander’s name until he appeared in Salem. Granted, a guy like Victor was pretty busy, running his own company for years and doing all those shady things on the side, not to mention the numerous romantic dalliances. So it would seem he was more than a little sidetracked when it came to mentioning his allegedly ‘favorite’ son.

Why was Xander his favorite, though? You would think that honor would go to Phillip Kiriakis, whom we haven’t really seen since last year, considering Victor actually got the honor of raising Phillip, but no, that didn’t really count for anything… perhaps it was the Alamain blood running through his veins that gave Victor such a headache. Who knows?

What is Fiona Cook’s angle?

Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas) was pushing the favorite son narrative really hard at Xander for some reason. One wonders if she doesn’t have ulterior motives, after all, she could just want Xander to take over the company so that she could finally be the kept, beloved Mother, a title that Victor never saw fit to bestow upon her.

At least now that Victor is gone, that would mean that no one is really around to dispute her claims, so she wouldn’t have to deal with anything on that front. But what if this is just a front for Fiona to get a dig at the Kiriakis family fortune and that is why she wants Xander at the helm of Titan? After all, she could have him finance her lifestyle and never work again a day in her life and no one would say that much about it because she is Xander’s Mother.

The question of the rival

It also looks like Xander will now have a rival in the form of Alex Kiriakis, who is not Victor’s son as he previously believed, but rather Justin Kiriakis’s (Wally Kurth) son, which still leaves him in the family but he’s slightly lower ranking than his newly minted Uncle Xander.

Wouldn’t that be interesting if Father and son teamed up together to bring down Xander from his perch high atop the head of Titan to install Alex in power instead? Quite frankly, we’re not sure how that could be accomplished yet, but where there’s a will there’s almost always a way.

We’ll just have to see how this plays out. Stay tuned!
